Having already visited 43 states in US travel, I’m eagerly anticipating visits to the remaining 7 on my quest to reach all 50 (and writing about each and every one of them)!
The sites I’m most looking forward to are Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota, soaking in the warm springs of Idaho, and touring the historic Mark Twain House in Connecticut. Completing my travels across the entire United States would be an incredible accomplishment.
From the monuments of Washington D.C. to the glittering theme parks of Orlando, the United States offers endless options for family vacations. We have taken road trips along Route 66, gone horseback riding at a dude ranch, and hiked one of America’s majestic national parks. In Mexico, we immersed ourselves in the rhythm of mariachi music and rich Mayan history.
Major cities like New York and San Francisco are exciting with iconic attractions and world-class museums. For a trip back in time, I recommend Savannah, Salem, Williamsburg and other historical sites let families experience Revolutionary War-era America.
Use these posts to plan your next Hawaiian beach vacation along coasts that promise surf, sand, and sunny adventures. Or head to the mountain resorts of Colorado for skiing, snowboarding, and cozy evenings around a fireplace. Family vacation ideas are limited only by your imagination. With so much diversity across the 50 states, the United States has great destinations for family trips. Don’t put off those plans to take an iconic American vacation!
